Unsupported applications |
If the upper stroke of the chain does not touch the lower stroke during the entire stroke, it is called an unsupported application. The distance between the moving end and the starting point of the radius curve is called the unsupported length. Unsupported applications are the most common. The CSB-PCC® chain is very suitable for high power and long service life. The maximum unsupported length depends on the loading weight and the type of chain or tube. As a result, we distinguished three unsupported lengths.
Unsupported with straight upper run FLG |
When the upper sliding still has a camber angle and the straightness or maximum sag is 1/2 of the height of the chain link, the chain is not supported. It is always recommended to install the chain in the FLG. It runs smoothly without additional vibration.
FLG type installation always produces the longest service life and can operate to the greatest extent. The value of velocity and acceleration.
Unsupported with permitted sag FLB |
When the sag is greater than 1/2 the link height and less than the minimum usable radius of this CSB-PCC® series, the chain is not supported. In most applications, unsupported FLBs can be used without any problems. There are restrictions on maximum speed and acceleration.
FLG type installation always produces the longest service life and can operate to the greatest extent. The value of velocity and acceleration.
